Maya Angelou wrote: “I’ve learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he or she handles these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights.” I would add packing/moving to that list. God, give me Grace.


The movers come today to put everything I own into a box. I have two thoughts on that situation: 1) I am incredibly grateful that someone else is doing the packing and 2) I am incredibly grateful that the stuff that’s really important is already safely packed away in my heart.


As much as I know God, love God and believe in His great plan for me, sometimes I wish He would reveal that plan on my timeline instead of His!

Nothing makes me feel better than purging the things that weigh me down… both figuratively and literally. Shame, guilt, bitterness and boxes of junk that have been hiding in my garage are now on the curb. I hope you spend the weekend doing some solid spring cleaning!

If you want to experience God’s presence on Earth, slow down, take a deep breath, ask Him to reveal Himself and then expect that He will.
