The Kindness Podcast Episode 13: How kind are you?

We go about our days sometimes on auto-pilot, don’t we? Or maybe it’s just me.

I can go from meeting to meeting, taking the kids here, stopping at the store there, returning this phone call or that email… and all of a sudden, it’s 9pm.

If you were to ask me if I am a kind person, I’d say, “Sure! Yes! Absolutely!” But the reality is, there are nights I lay my head on the pillow without having any recollection of doing one intentionally kind thing.

Barbara Hirsh is a former engineer who comes at the topic of kindness from both an emotional and a scientific angle. Through her research, she’s determined that people aren’t quite as kind as they think they are.

Are you?

Barbara has a formula to find out! She shares it with us in Episode 13 of The Kindness Podcast.

You can listen on itunes, google play or NPR.

Also, Barbara has very kindly donated 10 pocket-sized editions of her book, Live Kinder, which we are giving away to the first ten people who share a link to the podcast on Facebook or Twitter with the hashtag #livekinder.

And don’t forget to check out Barbara’s website LiveKinder.com where you can nominate someone for the beautiful new “Caring Hearts” or “Kindness Warrior” awards! What a great way to spread the kindness!
