God seems to be working very hard to prove to me the old adage, “When the student is ready the teacher will appear.”

A few weeks ago, I was wishing (praying) I had a spiritual mentor of my very own to call with faith questions. The next day a woman I barely know invited me to coffee. She said she wasn’t sure why we were supposed to meet, she just felt led to contact me. I knew why. God had chosen my mentor and delivered her to my front door. Literally.

I was at a writer’s conference last weekend and before I left, my husband mentioned how sad he was that I would be there alone. I told him, “Don’t worry about it. God’s going to send me a new friend.” I was hoping (praying) it would be true. Waiting at the San Fran airport for the hotel shuttle, I met Shelly from Texas. She was heading to the same conference. We ate lunch and dinner together every day and had so much fun sharing our life stories.

On my way home from San Francisco, I was mulling over all the new information crowding my brain. I was yearning (praying) for a one-on-one conversation with someone who had actually published a book. There is so much I want to know. Today, 10.17.13, I am spending 4 hours with a New York Times Bestselling Author who is in town to speak at an event at the Holiday Inn.

Um God, when I said I needed an author, I didn’t mean an AUTHOR. Apparently God operates on the philosophy, “Go big or go home.” P.S. Read Waking Up in Heaven, by Crystal McVea.

In Jeremiah 29:13, the Lord says, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” I ask you, I beg you… take your issues to God. All of them. The big ones, the little ones. What this world diminishes and sees as insignificant, God uses as His opportunity to show you just how much He loves you.

And remember… God can do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine.
