I’m seeing a direct correlation between my level of gratitude and my level of peace. The more gratitude I express in my thoughts and actions, the more peace I feel throughout my day. Not a new concept by any means, but one I seem to rediscover again and again.


Just because you can’t see God in your current situation doesn’t mean God can’t see you. Take comfort in knowing that you are never alone. Never.


When I am tired of doing good, when I am tired of BEING good, I am so grateful that God’s compassion will cover me until I am once again ready to let Him lead the way.


The thoughts, actions and attitudes of people rub off on us. Be picky about who you’re spending time with. Make it someone who feeds your soul and lifts you up. And then be intentional about being a person who does the same for every single being who brushes past you each day.


Think about WHY you do what you do. Is it out of habit? A ritual? Every little thing we do with the intention of loving others is an act of devotion to God.


Don’t rely on the gifts, rely on the Giver.

When I get frustrated with (or even fearful of) people who are clearly not interested in being in line with God’s will, I remember that God has the power to use them to change my heart — even without their willing participation.


Thinking that perhaps you’re not the right person for the job? God is giving you the responsibility in front of you because He knows you can handle it. Whether it’s taking care of your children or keeping a business afloat, God didn’t make a mistake when He put you in charge.


The beautiful thing about prayer is that it allows you to love on people from far away. I may not be close enough to hold your hand through this struggle, but I’m never too far away to hold you in my heart.
